The more I work in the field of personal development, the more I become aware of the human potential in all its glory. I am frequently touched by people with incredible challenges who achieve far more than we would imagine might be possible for them.
Others with everything going on, give up at the first sign of adversity. What I observe in those I most admire as incredibly successful, is a desire to be fully self-aware, to perpetuate consciousness in themselves and others and a willingness to work with energy to create in ways that go beyond old paradigms of positive thinking and powerful habits, to create something entirely different and far greater.
I have identified seven superpowers that these maestros of success, energy, and self-mastery have in common:
1. Not allowing negative thoughts to lower their energy
Successful individuals know the power of letting that one negative thought sneak in. Science has identified that a thought held for 17 seconds is joined by similar thoughts. A train of thought pursued for 68 seconds gains in power and momentum considerably.
That’s not to say they never have a negative moment, experience challenges or become uncomfortable, they are just quick to realize it and know how to switch back to a powerful state.
TIP: You have a 17-second window of opportunity to change a negative thought before it starts to gain momentum and becomes a point of attraction in your field.
2. Maintaining a present-future focus
Smart, savvy folks strive to maintain a present-future focus. They know that you can’t hold onto old energy and that the best way to head where you want to go, is to create in the now based on what they would like to have in the future.
This doesn’t mean they aren’t present with everything they are doing, or that they don’t extract value and assimilate learning from past experiences, it just means while they are enjoying their present and contributing to others and themselves, they are simultaneously creating their future.
TIP: A future focus combined with inspired action and presence now can create anything.
3. Appreciating everything, even so-called challenges
The art of appreciation is essentially adoring something or someone without expectation. It’s like loving on everything around you, which makes you stand out to others like a beacon. All the effective individuals I’ve ever met have one thing in common; extreme appreciation for everyone and everything in their life, even their challenges.
Winners appreciate obstacles because they provide the opportunity to hone their skills and presence, expand their horizons and step into something greater.
TIP: Once you can see your challenges as an opportunity for growth, everything becomes something to love or learn from.

4. Taking responsibility for themselves, their lives and choices
We are so entrained to think that life happens to us and that we must react accordingly. Exceptional individuals know that they are powerful creators and that everything they encounter is a match at least in part for their own beliefs or emotional state.
They understand that they always have a choice and they operate from a place where their inner well-being has a greater significance than beliefs that others might attribute to external events.
By retaining a positive and stable inner state in the face of all outcomes, they are ensuring that their future trajectory remains buoyant. I am not suggesting a spiritual by-pass here, just a genuine commitment to staying aligned and happy no matter what is going on around you.
TIP: Your point of view defines your reality, your reality doesn’t define your point of view.
5. They aren’t afraid to go deep
Mega achievers welcome discomfort in their thoughts, feelings or emotions and see it as an invitation to ask themselves a question and investigate a little deeper.
They know they are a work in progress and that getting uncomfortable is a great sign, as they are about to identify and let go of something that no longer serves them and gains awareness that allows them to become the best version of themselves.
Winners recognize the value in being emotionally consistent, spiritually aware and will identify ways of processing their inner world that is pragmatic and work for them. Which in turn allows them to be present and effective in all that they do.
TIP: The more we investigate our own patterns and use this information to let go of what we no longer need and step up, the more possibilities we can create.
6. They align energetically so that they can put in less effort
Alignment is like a re-discovered superpower that many are using to great effect. Whether we are active and consistent in creating with this or bring things about inadvertently, we all use it to some degree.
If you look at some people you know and go “How do they do that”? Chances are they are creating with ease because they are highly aligned with themselves and therefore the world around them.
Alignment is a fancy word for having a very high vibration (or consistently positive thoughts and feelings) from which we can effortlessly use Universal energies to draw to us what we desire most.
Those who are naturally very aligned, sense when a decision, place or thing isn’t right for them because it feels bad or heavy. Similarly, because they are very high vibration, they will attract people, places and things of a similar ilk, making it look like they are naturally very lucky.
TIP: Investing time and effort into mastering your vibration can make your life much easier and bring huge gains for relatively little effort.

7. They combine visualization with action steps to create an unstoppable force field
A common misperception around using the power of visualization to achieve success is that visualizing or even wishing is enough. Inspirational people know the value of visualization in creating success, but they are also aware to harness this they must take inspired action to bring their vision to fruition.
A difference between millionaires and billionaires is that billionaires visualize their success more times each day than millionaires, but you can guarantee, that they both take appropriate and inspired action.
TIP: Visualizing your completed goals and the associated feelings of joy and accomplishment once or more a day when done for a minimum of 17 seconds and up to 68 seconds, combined with inspired action creates as Esther Hicks says, “A force that changes worlds”.
